Wednesday November 12th was my first experience with MOH’s surgery and Dr. Clark. Despite being buoyed by her perfect 5.0 score on Google with over 400 reviews, I was fearful of possible facial disfigurement. The adjective that comes to mind when I think of Dr. Clark’s work is meticulousness. She is personable and endured numerous anecdotes of my recent trip to Korea, previous trip to Germany and my move from Madison, WI to Marion, IA, while simultaneously lowering my anxiety levels. Her attention to detail was evident at every point along the way. She let me know that she created an incision that would allow the appearance of my nostrils to be symmetrical, as opposed to one nostril lifted up as a result of the stitches. It was in that moment I recognized she had an artist’s creative aesthetic. Dr. Clark is here not merely to stop cancers in their tracks; she is here to beautify the world. Special kudos to Maddie who performed injections with the lightest touch. Her handiwork with band
