I particularly enjoy cases where seeing a skin specialist really makes a difference. For example, I have one patient who thanks me for diagnosing an unusual skin allergy every time she sees me, even though it has been more than 10 years since I treated her. With simple avoidance, she no longer has recurrent severe bouts of her rash.
