What is EMsculpt® Neo?
EMsculpt® Neo is a non-invasive body-sculpting treatment that burns fat and builds muscle. Also called body contouring, body-sculpting procedures improve the appearance of your body by reducing areas of stubborn fat, resulting in a slimmer, more sculpted body. EMsculpt® Neo is FDA-approved for eliminating body fat and increasing muscle tone in many areas of the body, including the buttocks, abdomen, arms, thighs, and calves.
REQUEST NOWHow does EMsculpt® Neo work?
EMsculpt® Neo uses an innovative technology called high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy to trigger thousands of muscle contractions. These muscle contractions occur at a much higher pace and intensity than you can achieve through regular exercise. Research shows that the electromagnetic pulses emitted by the EMsculpt® Neo device force your muscles to contract approximately 20,000 times in a 30-minute treatment session. When your muscles contract at this level, they are forced to adapt by remodeling the inner structure of the targeted muscles.
The rapid muscle contractions result in the building of new muscle fibers, resulting in muscles that are stronger and firmer. In addition to building muscle, the powerful contractions create a metabolic reaction that causes fat cells in the treatment area to break down. This process is what builds and strengthens muscles, firms, and sculpts the target area.
Who can benefit from EMsculpt® Neo body sculpting?
Anyone can improve the appearance of their body with EMsculpt® Neo body sculpting. Ideal candidates are already at a healthy weight and are looking to eliminate areas of stubborn fat and build muscle. EMsculpt® Neo is also a good treatment option if you’re interested in a non-invasive alternative to surgical procedures like Brazilian butt lift (BBL). Unlike a BBL, which surgically transfers your own body fat to your buttocks, EMsculpt® Neo firms and lifts the buttocks by building muscle mass.
What happens during an EMsculpt® Neo treatment session?
First, you’ll lie down comfortably, and your Forefront provider will place the EMsculpt® Neo applicator onto the targeted area of the body. Your provider can adjust the intensity of the muscle contractions throughout your treatment session. As the device sends high-intensity electromagnetic energy to the muscles of the treatment area, you’ll feel your muscles tightening and contracting. At the beginning of your treatment session, you’ll feel gentle muscle contractions, but they will gradually increase in intensity as treatment throughout your session.
You might feel some tingling as your muscles are contracting, but there isn’t any pain associated with an EMsculpt® Neo treatment session. For most patients, EMsculpt® Neo feels like you’re in the middle of an intense workout, even though you’re laying down comfortably and relaxing.
How long does an EMsculpt® Neo treatment last?
Most EMsculpt® Neo treatment sessions take about 30 minutes. We recommend at least four treatment sessions scheduled two to three days apart for best results. You’ll complete your EMsculpt® Neo treatment schedule within two weeks. Your Forefront provider will design a custom treatment plan to help you achieve your specific goals.
What results can I expect from EMsculpt® Neo?
You’ll feel results right after your first EMsculpt® Neo treatment. Visible results are noticeable within two to four weeks after your final treatment session. Your results will continue to improve over several weeks as muscle fibers grow, and you can expect to see a toned, lean body with noticeably less fat. Clinical studies show a 16% average increase in muscle mass after completing EMsculpt® Neo treatment. Patients reported a 96% satisfaction rate with EMsculpt® Neo body sculpting.
To maintain your leaner, more sculpted appearance, maintaining a healthy weight and continuing strength exercises to maintain muscle tone is recommended. Additional weight gain may affect your results, but you can enjoy permanent results by maintaining a healthy weight.
Does EMsculpt® Neo require pre/post treatment preparation?
EMsculpt® Neo is a non-invasive body-sculpting treatment, so you don’t need to follow any instructions or make any preparations before or after your treatment session. There is also no downtime associated with EMsculpt® Neo, so you’ll be able to resume your normal routine after your treatment session. You might feel a mild muscle ache after treatment, which is similar to an intense strength training workout, but this is only temporary. Unlike other body-sculpting procedures that can cause side effects such as swelling, bruising, redness, or numbness, there are no side effects associated with EMsculpt® Neo.
