What can I expect during a brow tinting session?
Your Forefront Dermatology provider will first discuss the look you wish to achieve by having your brows tinted, then he or she will mix a custom shade of color to meet your preference. Some patients want color exactly the same as their hair color, while some prefer a color that’s slightly lighter or darker. And some want thinner brows while some desire fuller, thicker brows.
Next, the brow area will be cleaned and color will be applied. The time that the color stays on will be longer for darker colors and shorter for lighter colors.Typically, it stays on 5-10 minutes before your provider wipes it off. After that, you can go about your normal routine.
What kind of aftercare should I follow after brow tinting?
For the first 12-24 hours, you will need to keep your brows completely dry. It’s also important to avoid rubbing or scrubbing in the eye area, and to stay out of direct sunlight since the sun’s rays can cause pigments to fade faster. Moisturizing the brows daily with a non-comedogenic moisturizer that will help to hydrate the brows and keep them looking their best.
